This website is visited by 2000 people per week and a growing number of people are contacting us to tell us about their favourite restaurant, local event, society, or club.
Please help us to build this information resource - why keep your local knowledge to yourself?
We invite you to join in with 'round robin' style badminton games - typically on Wednesday evening each week (sometimes, also on a Monday or Tuesday evening). We play badminton after work on a weekday night and whilst games are competitive (we manage to keep track of the score, well almost always anyway!) the idea is to have a good laugh for an hour or two and get fit at the same time.
Please contact us as soon as you read this page - - for more details. All welcome, regardless of ability, sex or age group - we'll fit you in to our next session if at all possible.
Although we've only been playing badminton for a couple of months, we now have a 'membership list' of more than 20 players - made up of about 60% chaps and 40% ladies. We have room for more players and eventually plan to block book 2 courts at the same venue for 2 hours on a regular basis.
Two courts have been booked for this Wednesday evening - at Harvey Hadden Leisure Centre, from 8.30pm onwards (we're expecting a mixed group of 6-8 players for this session). Sometimes changes to this regular arrangement apply - please use Facebook Group to check on the latest court times and bookings. For an 8.30pm start time, please be there from 8.20pm if possible and bring 2-3 pounds each. There are usually a couple of spare rackets and some new shuttlecocks so all you need bring is yourself!

Contact us now to say when you're available so we can get the next badminton sessions booked in. We usually play for 1 or 2 hours, sometime between 6.30pm and 10.30pm, and Monday or Wednesday night is the most convenient for most of the players at the moment. The more interest we have the better, with plenty of 'on-court time' for everyone.
New! Facebook Group Set Up! - To make it easier for members to post their availability and arrange court time on different nights of the week, we have set up a 'Group' page on Facebook. The page can be accessed by anyone with a Facebook Account and is open to all badminton and tennis players - new members welcome.
Please contact me - - for more details about our latest badminton court booking times and dates.
