Beeston Badminton Club - Friendly Mixed Doubles Games In The Evenings After Work!
Welcome to Beeston.biz Badminton Club
We invite you to join in with friendly 'round robin' style badminton games - on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursday evenings each week (exact court booking times vary and other evenings can be arranged if there is demand). We usually play badminton on 1, 2 or 3 courts, for between 1 hour and 2 hours, at a local school hall in Beeston or at a Leisure Centre near Beeston from 7pm, 8pm or 8.30pm onwards. Whilst games are competitive (we manage to keep track of the score, almost always anyway!) the idea is to have a good laugh for an hour or two, and get fit at the same time.
Badminton (and Tennis) Club T-Shirts Are Now Available!
By popular demand we now have optional ladies or mens white 'Cooltex' T Shirts available. At a cost of only £5.30 per shirt (gents) or £3.14 per shirt (ladies) in a range of different sizes (Beeston.biz Badminton Club will be contributing the remaining £10 per garment and Sue has kindly arranged for the design and creation of the embroidered logo to be provided free of charge).
Please order your shirt from either Sue or Mark at your next session. Players do not have to buy a T-shirt and we continue to welcome all newcomers to our club, completely free of any membership charges or joining fees.
Latest News!! During a typical week we are now playing badminton on Monday evening, Wednesday evening and Thursday evening - with almost 20 regular players, roughly half ladies and half gents (age group: 18-50 years old). On Mondays and Thursdays the venue is usually Chilwell Olympia Leisure Centre.
News Update (23 January 2012): Badminton Courts Booked at the Pearson Centre in Beeston every Wednesday evening from February onwards. The booking is from 8.00pm - 9.30pm and most players
have a quick drink afterwards in the Commercial Inn next door or just around the corner at the Wetherspoons Pub (called 'The Last Post', in Beeston Town Centre).

These badminton sessions are first and foremost sociable - on my first night I met and spoke to three or four different players all from different age groups and backgrounds whilst awaiting my next game on court. If you are a bit more of a serious player or are looking for a competitive badminton club / league to join, please contact us anyway because we may be able to provide you with some useful contact details.
How To Join In And Play Badminton
Please contact us as soon as you read this page - - for more details. All welcome, regardless of ability, sex or age group - we'll fit you in to our next session if at all possible. Evening sessions are very popular at this time of year, so contact us now and join in before we have to introduce a waiting list!
Other Badminton Sessions
We can also book courts on other evenings, usually at Chilwell Olympia Leisure Centre, or at Harvey Hadden Sports Club, depending on the demand. Again, please let us know if you would like to do this at least 7 days in advance, because the council owned leisure facilities are in high demand and it is difficult to find a court that is available. If we play at Harvey Hadden Leisure Centre (in Bilborough, less than 10 minutes drive from Beeston) there are nearly always lifts and car shares available.
New Badminton Players: Always Welcome
Contact us now to say when you're available, we look forward to hearing from you. We usually play for 1 or 2 hours, sometime between 6.30pm and 10.30pm. The more interest we have the better, so that we can organise plenty of 'on-court time' for everyone. Cost per session is typically only £2 or £3 per player.
