Beeston Nottingham Cycling Club - Group Rides Organised For Cyclists Of All Abilities

Beeston Cycling Club were formed about 4 years ago and came into being from the popular 'Ride for RoundHill' Event of 2008. They have organised numerous bike rides in the local area, the countryside and as far afield as France - where they cycled up Mt Ventoux! Most of the regular local members' cycle rides are slightly less of a challenge though!

This cycling club is now looking for new members to join them!

Always keen to promote cycling as an activity available to the whole community, Beeston Cycling Club is a friendly and welcoming group of people local to Nottinghamshire with a number of social activities also scheduled throughout the year.

Robinson Reviews:

Our intrepid reporter returns with a short(ish) piece about his recent experience on a 10 mile circular bike ride from Beeston to Nottingham and back again.

Part of Nottingham's neatly entitled 'Big Wheel' scheme, this cycle route is just one small part of a wider project aimed at encouraging people to get around the urban areas of Greater Nottingham by using sustainable transport. Check out - The Big Wheel Website - for more information about Nottingham's superb network of paths, cycle tracks, trams, trains and bus routes.

At a leisurely pace and taking time to stop for a couple of pictures along the way, it takes just over an hour to ride from Beeston to Nottingham city centre, then return to the original starting point at the bottom of Station Road / Meadow Road in Beeston Rylands.
