2007 Reunion Dinner

Brian Tunmore wrote to our website's editor to tell us about the recent reunion for former members of number 262 Signal Regiment, and to try to raise awareness of his search for former members of his regiment. Brian says:

'I held a small reunion on the 17/18 august at the Bosworth Hall Hotel which included 11 ex 262 personnel plus partners . A total of 21 people attended. I am going to organise another one for early September 2008 and would like to trace more ex members'.

Search For Corporal Smudge Smith

Corporal A D Smith is one person that Brian would like to find, so that he can join his old pals for next year's reunion [or sooner, perhaps]:

'Unfortunately none of us can remember his first name, as we always called him smudge.... so I know it is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. I have enclosed a photo of him and his wife, I believe her Christian name is Jackie but can't remember the surname. They may have got married in Cyprus in the sixties. I also included a small group photo taken at the reunion.'

'I would be most grateful if you would put this on your web site and if anybody does contact you, please put them in touch with me directly'.

More Details About Smudge Smith:
23895705 Corporal A D Smith served with 262 Signal Squadron in Cyprus roughly between 1964 and 1967. We believe he settled in the Nottingham area probably late 1970s early 1980s, but can not be sure of the exact date and whether he originated from the Nottingham area prior to joining the army.

If anyone knows of the whereabouts of Corporal Smith please contact so that we can pass your contact details on. The Editor of this website promises not to use your contact details for any other purpose.
