Welcome To The Bar

With a wide range of beers, ales, wines, spirits and other beverages, The Bar offers the same warm and friendly welcome to regulars and new faces alike. Unusually, Magners cider is available in a bottle or on draught (I prefer the latter).

All major sporting events are shown live on the brand new flatscreen TVs, but often the volume is kept low so that you can choose whether or not it is a distraction! Obviously if England or Nottingham Forest are playing, the commentary will be louder and it can get quite busy. However, despite its size, even when it is busy you don't have to wait too long for a beer!

There are a number of darts teams playing in local leagues at The Bar, along with a pool team and sometimes a quiz night is held here. On Saturday evening, live music features, with solo singers offering credible cover versions or guitar ballads.

Functions, birthday parties, presentation evenings and other celebrations are often held upstairs at The Bar. The venue is free to hire if you have a minimum number of guests at your special event or occasion and there is a separate bar and toilet facilities upstairs as well.
